Fuel pump power grounding out?

I'm having a major problem right now. Can't get the fuel pump to run. I tried disconnecting the modulator and the resistor and grounding the yellow wire from the resistor. Still no deal. But when I remove all my grounds, and when they are connected, my blue power wire to the fuel pump reads zero ohms to ground. Seem like a short. I have no idea where this could have occured. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks

Chuck D.

Problem Found

I found that the auxilliary air power line electrical connector, which is also powered by the line that goes to the fuel pump, was cracked and must have been grounding. Now I just need to find a new connector. In the mean time, I'm going to try to get the fuel pump back up and running without the modulator.

Well I opened up the gas tank. What a mess. I think I am just going to purchase the entire tank and assembly rather than deal with all of this crap. Any suggestions as to who has best OEM prices? I usually purchase from subaruparts.com, but I heard there was another.

Auburn Subaru: 866 528-5282. Ask for Jason in Parts. Their prices are consistently better than subaruparts.com, their shipping prices are great, and they are great to deal with.
