Tulip Time
I have a tour planned for April 19. About 160 miles. More later.
I will be watching for it. :)
Does that fall during the Tulip festival? I've found in the past any where near the flowers on a weekend you are sitting in a traffic jam.
Apr 19th is my mother's birthday :(
(Sue likes the black tulips the best) |
I'm navigating in a TSD tomorrow! Wait, what kind of tulip are we really talking about?
The normal dutch kinda tulip I guess? I like planting the black ones, they match my car. And I like weird looking flowers. :)
I just realized that I will be at the Reading IX Meet that weekend. Oh well. :o

Fixed it for you Earl:p |
You are right! Yipppeeeeeeee :D :D :D
So Earl's out, sounds like Aly might be out too.
Add to that circumstances ended up putting our NWSVX Banquet to the weekend before this (I'm all for back-to-back SVX weekends, but some people may not be). There's also a request to have a group drive on the Sunday of the Banquet Weekend. In my mind, it all adds up to the possibility of having this drive on Sunday April 13th as a bookend to the Banquet Weekend. Just an idea? |
I wonder if the two lips will be out? :D :D :o
Tilip Time reschedule
To give a little time between events, Tulip Time is moved to April 26. If that won't work or the tulips aren't cooperating, could delay it to May 3.
I think I can make May 3. :) :)
I cant make it on the 26th, but I could do it in May. The black tulips should be blooming then, yay. :)
I was just talking to one of the farmers here in the valley. They said that there won't be tulip 1 showing its head for a long time. They have never seen them this late ever. I guess it is the global warming that is doing it. :o
