Subaru Misprint

In the May 2006 issue of "EndWrench", which is the Subaru magazine for repair technicians; there is an article about oil leaks and how to go about finding them and addressing them. In the article there is a general section and then sections on the various Subaru models such as justy, Loyale, Impreza, Forester, Legacy, and (last but not least) SVX.
The article on the SVX is only one paragraph long, but has a glaring error in the first sentence.

That sentence reads as follows:
"The SVX, which has become a valuable 'cult' car, was built with a 3.0 liter boxer six."

We all know that the SVX engine is 3.3 liters, unless Subaru lied to everyone.
Also, it's nice to know that we have moved up from 'outcasts' to 'cult' (maybe someday we can graduate to prodigal sons & daughters).

The SVX paragraph goes on to say that the engine is a good one with minimal oil leaks but valve cover gaskets develop leaks over time. It staes that the valve coves have an outer gasket and a cicular inner gasket for the spark plugs. It goes further to extol the virtues of SOA approved "T-3 High temp. Silicone Sealant" by 3M for the oil pan gasket.
Further it says not to be misled by power steering leaks, because the powersteeing hose & line connections had small o-rings which are the cause of many leaks and are mistaken for engine oil leaks.

that's about it.

So long for now from cult member Larry III. I have to leave for Washington State now, so I can make my pilgrimage to the site of Earl's Twelve. :D

Two errors in that sentence: VALUABLE cult car...?

*shrug* They didnt neccessarily say it was monetary value, as in my case, my car holds more sentimental value and personality than anything else.
