That's really beautiful! I may have to retire my Unorthodox Racing cap for this beauty.

Do you physically have to tighten down each cap sufficiently on the oil filler tube to mark the position, so that the logo is square and not tilted when the cap is properly installed.

Any idea on when production may begin?

Also you can't go by another logo that was on there. I have a cap just like that, with the STi logo on it, that was crooked until I took the logo off and flipped it around. (Which was a bad idea, because now the logo is bent.) So the cap sits at a different angle on the imprezas.

Looking good, man. Glad to see this is back on. I'll be in for a couple of each probably.

I can set the 'timing' of the logo on my SVX, but whether that would be the same as everyone else's is hard to say...

You could shim it with a thicker/thinner o-ring that goes underneath.

I need to find a good source of the blank caps before I can figure out the pricing and when I can start making them, but I already have the program figured out, so it's about ready to go as is...

Looking around, it seems I can have gold, grey, or aluminum for the blank caps, and some other colors at a higher price.

Now the tricky part..does anyone have any vector art of the Alcyone 'horns' logo.

The oil cap points the same direction on all 4 of the engines I've got. So I'd expect it to be the same for everybody.

What is that round "dimple" in the center of the V in the logo? Some sort of centering mark?

That dimple came on the cap. It may be some sort of center mark from when they made it. I would mill down the whole top of the cap to 'erase' it, then do the SVX logo on the future ones if they came with that mark on them.

I might go back and do it on this one as well. This is just a prototype. It also has a spot on it under the 'S' where I dug in one of the cutters and broke it off on a previous run:lol:.

I was sure it wasn't something in your process. However, the photo from my post earlier in this thread did not show it. I think a black or gunmetal anodized cap with the letters cut into the aluminum would be quite striking.

Ok let's get started...finally geez!

Who wants the oil cap, that is something I can get done now.

It will be like the one pictured a few posts above but with the little divot removed. At this time I can only do the SVX logo. I will match the alignment of the cap to my SVX, which according to some research, should be pretty close to everyone's SVX.

Colors can be gold, aluminum, gunmetal. Blue or red would be extra$ based on the price of the cap itself.

Don't need $ now, but need to see what caps I need to buy to modify and what color

Price shipped to you in the USA is $29.99

$1.50 per cap sold will go back to the network as a donation.

Once I get an idea of which caps are the ones you want, I'll get the caps and run them on the CNC.
