1996 SVX - heated seats ?
 

I've been out of the forums for some time now. I have a question. There is a 96 LSI for sale on Vancouver Island and the dealer says that it has heated seats. Iv'e serched the net and nowhere does it say that the leather models came with heated seats. can anyone confirm ? Also is $ 9998 for a 118,000 km. mint SVX to much, I think so. Any opinions appreciated.

Heated seats were optional in Canada.

I am looking at my 1996 and 1997 Canadian SVX brochures.

Heated, reclining front bucket seats are standard, as are DRL'S

It's funny that the only model available in Canada for those years was the LSi (leather package)


Most Canadian SVX's came with heated seats

The only thing that I have found in error in the 1997 brochure is that its lists Laguna Blue Pearl as available. There is even a photo of the Laguna Pearl SVX (with the 97 grille) plowing through the snow. No one has ever seen a 1997 Laguna Blue in any market.

Thanks for the quick response. I thought the guy was trying to pull a fast one on me after he said that he tried them and they were nice and toasty.
Now as for the price.....asking price $ 9998 Can. Apparently mint. Laguna Blue with grey leather int. and 118000 km. Pictures will be sent in the next day or two after it goes through their shop as they just got it in.
My other worry is the tranny issues that I've read about, were they solved by 96 ? The dealer ( Mazda ) has no service records on the car but says he can contact the prev. owner for any info should I be serious about the car.

My 1996 model has 172,000 miles on the original gearbox,so maybe they fixed the problem:)

The price is kinda high but I'm sure you could bargain him down a bit.
The tranny issues were mainly in the earlier models. If he's a Mazda dealer perhaps a warranty could be worked into the deal.

cariboo i prolly can find you one here in ontario and ship it to you for cheaper :D

on a side note, mine is a 94 LSi with heated leather only for the driver's seat, not the passengers, so you might wanna see if its both.
