Where Is the EGR Control Valve Located?
 

I just bought a new EGR control valve solenoid thinking I'd use it as a guide to locate the original one on the engine. After looking around the engine for 20 minutes I dont see it, but I did come across a diagram that shows that its under the passenger side of the rear intake manifold (I tried to copy the diagram here but couldn't).

Is that correct; that I'd need to remove the intake manifold to get to the valve?

Hi EGR Solenoid and purge solenoid are under the manifold above cylinder 3&5
ive done it without removing the manifold

'96 SVX LSi needs EGR valve and hoses. Where did you get your EGR?

Although the picture looks different to the one you posted in another thread. Seems to be widely available, parts.subaru.com, ebay, etc. seem to have that part available.

You can still get this part# new from Subaru... retail is not cheap however. $100 plus.
