Maf cleaning

I see people talking about cleaning their MAF sensor. Is this possible? If so, how?

It is possible to clean your MAF. Do a search for MAF cleaning. One member used white vinegar to clean it. I tried it too and it seemed to work.

BTW- Welcome to the network:)

I have used IPA ,the electrical contact cleaner sold at radioshack, and generic parts cleaner in a rattle can. It has all worked well enough to get OBDII numbers w/in spec on an active scanner, and keep a cel from returning. I prefer pure IPA. (propan-2-ol)

They sell actual MAF cleaner in a can at Schucks, Autozone, etc.

I used Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-Tip to clean my old plastic one. Just had to be very gentle - seemed like it worked too.
