hard driver when cold

Hey guys, I have a 1996 Subaru SVX LSI in perfect condition and 130,000 miles. Recently, it has been driving really rough and hard when cold. It's like the tranny isn't shifting right and the throttle isn't as responsive when cold. It will jump around the rpm's and lurch forward and stuff. Anyone else have this problem?? BTW, I just had the tranny serviced and some anti-slip put in, and it has been maybe 40-45 lately in the mornings when i leave.

Ideas???

i'm not too sure about the tranny shifting...i think you would need to be a little more descriptive on that one.

as for the throttle...maybe you could check your throttle cables. have you clean out the throttle body?

i'm no absolute...but it's a start

Tranny shifts are going to be a little sluggish and hard when the car's cold. It's just the way the transmission is. I'd say that in the colder weather (and I mean sub-freezing weather) that my throttle and stuff is all a little sluggish. Once the car gets warmed up, it's all fine.

Just let the car warm up for 5 minutes before driving it. Almost all SVX's are a little quirky when driven cold and I always allow mine to reach above the "C" mark on the temp gauge before driving it.

If that ever happens let me know as I can either get you 4.44's or a stock tranny for a good deal.;)
