Number of SVX's Remaining

Has anyone wondered how many of our cars are still on the road in North America? I've thought about this several times.

Are there statistics regarding the typical number of sports cars totalled in 1st year owned, 2nd year owned, etc. Is there a database that lists the number still driving?

Based on the number of members and a few other factors, I figuring around 7500 left.

Any thoughts?

We had around 15000 so 7500 seems a little low. I'd take it around 10000

There were originally 6 in Guernsey and there are now 3.

This highly scientific data supports your assumption of 7500 in North America

I used to know of 4-5 in napa, know only 2 :( These things seem to have a high demolition rate because of repair cost:( :( :(

Nah. they are all bought out by Earl :D :D :D

There was only 1 in Burlington at one time, and now there are 5. I don't know what is attracting them. ;)

We have that here, too.....

Just picked up our 5th, pretty badly wrecked on the driver's side, for a parts car. (Svxfiles wanted the engine to "play with" and our black 1996's tranny is going.) One of them is mine, recently transplanted from Beaver, PA but originally obtained from the Richmond, VA area.

BTW, Earl, we aren't including the parts car in our total count, so your position here is safe (so far). ;) :D :D

Just passed on a 92 Teal. The paint was not very good even though it was in faily good shape other than that. I'm running out of space. I want to pick up a parts car next week it is available. :)

Are you looking at that 92 Teal in Seattle?

I can't ever even get ahead.....
All I wanted was two SVXes........
And it still didn't turn out as expected.... yes, I have two in my garage, but only one actually works... the other is the money maker......

This sucks....
