Auto-up on driverswindow

I have no auto-up feature on the drivers window on my 94 LSi, but the 92 I just aquired, does. I also know that my mom's 93 legacy turbo has it. I was just wondering if they dropped the auto-up after 93, or if mine just doesn't work. The auto-down works just fine, but the switch doesn't even feel like it is supposed to have an auto-up.

Oh, and the pass window switch on the drivers door just quit working in the up position...goes down just fine, but only goes up with the switch on the pass door. I'm guessing that I'll need a new driver side switch cluster to fix that one.

Anyway, thanks for the help. I'm fairly new here, but very impressed with the wealth of information available.

Dave,
Yes they did away with the Auto-Up after 93 -- as safety thing. People said that it was cutting off kids hands or something silly. Obviously, if you want the auto-up on your 94, you can order the part number for the 92 switch (yes, it's still available) or acquire a used one.

You may need to take the switchbank out and take it apart and clean the contacts. It's a common problem with the SVX window switches.

And, by the way, if I haven't said welcome yet. WELCOME! :D

Thanks, that answers all my questions perfectly:) (for now!)

Btw, if I did want to go for the 92 switch, would I also need the timer?
