ext. trans cooler size needed...

Anyone got an an opinion on what size..GVW sized aftermarket trans cooler would match what our stock, in radiator, cooler's capacity ? Has anyone actually seen a gutted SVX radiator to see what that OEM cooler looks like...just tubing awash in antifreeze or also having cooling fins?

Re: ext. trans cooler size needed...

The stock SVX transmission cooler is a copper tube, sometimes spireled, about an inch in diameter, hollow on the inside, like a 1 foot long donut.
ANYTHING has a better heat transfer capability!
If you can find out what your current transmission temperature is, you can better deside what size cooler you need.
