and go to a muffler shop to weld up a 2.5" system for a nice 35hp gain.

Crank homey, not wheel. Not my words either, go ask the motorsport dudes or Tom or one of those performance nuts.

Oh, and sorry Mods. I'll make sure to keep it here next time.

so an exhaust on our cars will add ~20 to the wheels? what about coupled with an intake? anybody got some dyno-proof?

Look up I believe Dayle's profile. When I was new to SVXs, I just went to all the different threads I could find on power. They mentioned that because of the small diameter piping, 2 cats, and resonators, the engine output was ridiculously restrictive (I think my comment on it was "HOLY RESTRICTIVE BATMAN!!", but when I had another username). We had like 6 people post up saying they felt ridiculous differences, and one dude was going to dyno, dunno if he ever did.

the SVX exhaust is not that restrcitive, on a stock motor, it is only for sound and personal preference... No way in hell it will pick up 35hp... I didn't even pick up 35hp when I did my cams....

The transmission is good, but solenoid C wasn't replaced during the rebuild, so the 1st to second gear shift will shift hard at 3000rpm, and no other time.
Solenoid C has nothing to do with the 1-2 shift... it has to do with the AWD engagement...
