radiator flush

When draining the antifreeze, do you also open up the plugs under the engine? This is what I read in the manual. Is the drain plug under the radiator enough?

I usually flush the system as well. :) :)

I have one of those prestone backflushing kits. You splice it into your heater core hose and attach a garden hose to it to run water through the system to flush it all out, then add the right amount of antifreeze into the radiator and it displaces water out the fitting you spliced in. Cap it off and you're done.

For draining, I usually just detach the lower rad hose. Once the rad is drained, I pull the thermostat cover and drain what's in the engine.
