Best place to buy bearings?

Okay I am finally ready to purchase my rear wheel bearings. I checked with my local subaru dealer and it seems that I can get them cheaper at subaruparts.com. Is this a good place to get them? Also all I need is the bearing part no. 28416 and the inner and outer seal right?

Check out the Chicago Rawhide bearings at www.kragen.com

They're $64.99 each, with a 2-year warranty. Kragen also carries the seals, for $7 - $8 each (lifetime warranty).

Subaru says to replace the axle nut also, but others on this forum have reused the original, apparently without mishap.

Hey Blue..

I just had my rear bearings done... I got the parts from subaruparts.com.... and Mike Palmer at the 9th south Mienekie (sp?) did a very good job on the bearings...(just remind him that the wheels are directional...;) ) They did a good job and Mike is a very fair owner...

Hey a Local! So what did Mienekie actually do? Did you have them install the bearings and if so how much did they charge you? I was planning to do it myself but if the price is right why get all dirty?

Just remember that the stuff the bearings come packed in is NOT grease. Clean and repack BEFORE installing them.

Thanks for the info, I ended up ordering them from Subaruparts.com. They came in at $170 including new axle nuts and shipped to my door in two days. And they are geniune Subaru parts. Can't beat that! Anyway I have to wait a week or two in order to get some time to do it. As I have read, it takes forever.
