Hi All! I'm adding my car to the registry of MY92 cars. VIN: NH108403
Built January 1992. As far as I'm aware, I'm the third owner. It had 145,987 miles at the time of purchase in June 2023. I've made a few changes that I will outline in other posts.

Central, South Carolina. If you're in the Greenville area, you may see the car at Michelin Cars and Coffee from time to time.

Jerome,

I'm in northern Delaware. I live about 15 minutes from Joe Biden's house. I've already asked him to race. Him in his Corvette & me in our '92 Teal LSi. We want the Secret Service to close off about 3-5 miles of US rte 100. It's a nice road with curves and straights. They said "NO F-ing WAY" in nice language. The president lives in the town of Greenville, DE. It's a rich town.

The current list will be posted here:

New list on 03/28/11.

03/91 mfd date
NH100096
Purple and black
AWD (converted to 5spd RWD)

Need a pic of the serial number plate or something?

Also - will these super early ones ever become worth anything? Haha

Hi,

In Japan, early models before '93 are said to be very valuable. Giorgetto Giugiaro's concept had an all-glass roof. At the time, Subaru couldn't make the roof out of glass, so it's said that they painted it black to make it look like glass.

I think there are personal likes and dislikes, but I like the SVX with a black roof.

Unfortunately, there are probably less than 100 of the early SVXs left in Japan.

Another big difference is the type of transmission. The later model is based on the transmission for the first generation Legacy.

Wow, thats one of the earliest I have seen! I previously owned #0200, but had not seen one earlier. Very cool!

Checking in with mine, purchased August 2023 out of the Pittsburgh PA area and brought home to Rochester NY.

VIN: NH106040
Build date: October 1991
Current mileage: 161xxx

White LS-L with spoiler, original transmission (one rebuild, from what the prior longtime owner tells me) and replacement engine from a car with similar mileage. Only mod is a Magnaflow muffler. Story goes it was run on the highway, blew the radiator, overheated the engine and warped the heads... that was ~2008. Car sat until late 2022 when said longtime owner sold it to one of his friends, who replaced the engine (and radiator - brand new aluminum one, really nice), got it back on the road, drove it a bit, and sold it on to fund a new project.

As for plans... well, getting the air conditioning fixed is scheduled for next month, and maybe a manual swap is in the cards for late this year (after it goes away for the winter, perhaps)? Depends how funds are looking. Overall though it's a great driver and I'm looking to keep it that way. It's my first SVX and I'm in it for the long haul!

Welcome! You'll find a wealth of experience and information on this forum's archives. Some of us are still here hanging out, and looking ahead to next month's meet in Morgantown PA.
