But seriously, how many of you have named/nicknamed your SVXes? I figured we could start a thread and report what we've named our cars and why. If you have a vanity plate for your SVX, you could report what it says too. :)

So I've taken to calling her.... Vanessa.

Reason: Er, because I couldn't really think of any name that started with an "S" or "X" or a "B" (for black... or should that be "E" for ebony?), that seemed like it would suit her. Vanessa was the best, plus it's a pretty name for a pretty car. :)

Mine's name is "Gumby".... I called it that because I always loved that show when I was growing up... Pokie was my favorite charicter, but my SVX isn't Orange :rolleyes:

Mine's named Su. Short for Subaru, not very creative. Figured it should be spelled "Su" instead of "Sue". :)

I call mine "SEX VX" because since I've slipped up and said that at LEAST three times when referring to the car to friends(funny) as well as old, grizzly auto parts guys (bad), it might as well be his name.

Freudian slips like that go over real well in the parts shop...let me tell you. I'm red in the face before I even step foot in there now and I write the word "SVX" on a piece of paper before I order stuff over the phone.

SVX #1 is called "Patience." If you knew my history, you'd know why. It's what she's taught me (not really) through her many trips to the tranny shop.

SVX #2 is called "The Evil Twin" or "ET" for short. It was suggested by members of thie board, due to the fact that I'm a "stick with stock" kind of guy. She is evil because this one was modified by the previous owner (KC Exhaust, Koni Struts, Drilled Rotors) and she had some cosmetic damage. Oh, and she's a "Twin" -- both my cars are Pearlies.

I've called mine Gilliam II after the starship in the anime series Outlaw Star. She's red, quirky and beautiful just like the original Gilliam II... :)

My SVX is a boy. I refer to him as "the boy" whenever i talk about it. We like to go off roading and get muddy all the time. Plus it doesnt cry when it gets rough beatings. I also call it " the warrior"...because it can take on anything.
