timing belt related bolt torques
Timing belt time this weekend. I don't have a FSM, so I'm looking for the torque specs for the timing belt related bolts. i.e. idlers, tensioner and of course, the crank pulley.
I checked Ryan's How-To for the "belt replacement", it does include the tensioner torque, (29 ft. lbs), and under his "pulley" How-To, found the crank bolt torque, (115 ft lbs), but didn't see the idlers torque. Can someone help? Also, would it be possible to add in the 'How-To' area, (or where ever you suggest), a list of the various COMMON torque specs we may run across as we maintain our 'babies'. Thanks for all the wonderful info. this venue has supplied to us all!! |
bolt torque....
Hi Mile HI!
Mt FSM shows the idlers torque to be 26-32 ft-lb. I'm not far from you...outside of Bergen Park in Clear Creek County. There is a gathering on the 23rd of Aug...see Colorado Meet thread in meets forum...can you make it? :) |
Hi mile-hi-br and welcome to the site. I will try to post some common torque specs in the how to. Thanks for that suggestion. :)

Thanks for the reply. Now I'm off to get busy!
I will try to attend the meet, just soooo much to do before then to get the car on the road again...long story. As time gets closer, I will update. Thanks again for the spec, and the invite!!:) |
