heater vent
 

i can not seem to get heat out of the vent when i hit the vent button is blows cold air any suggestions??????????????

Nope, you can't get heat out of the dashboard vents... the heater's designed that way. Why? I don't know, but the good folks at Subaru decided the only places you need warm air blowing is on your feet or your windshield. It bugs me because my hands are ALWAYS cold in the winter and I like to have the vents pointed at my hands, but not in my SVX! The vent button gives you outside air, the A/C also blows through the dash vents, but not the heater.

I think things are arranged so that you can get some cool air to the face and for breathing, so as to prevent going to sleep with the car otherwise too warm. :confused: :cool:

cdvs posted a mod on how to change this. I've yet to try it, but it sounds like this is what you might want. try doing a search for "Full time dash vents" and let us know if it works.

Something to consider... We've been crashing single digit (Fahrenheit!) temperatures lately!
