7" screen for car DVD player
 

hey guys, I am looking for a 7" screen (just the screen) to plug to the DVD/MP3 player I am gonna buy for my car. I need some advice about certain screens sold on ebay. what do you recommend for one with excellent quality for no more than $100 ?
any suggestions?

Not as cheap as you're looking for, but not terrible either, and the quality is said to be quite good as well.

Buy one that's not intended for car stereo use.

Really. It seems like they put a 200% markup on everything just because it's "mobile theater"...

For instance- One can get a 5" LCD designed for use with a PSone console for well under a hundred bucks. I've seen 'em for $50 used. They're available with 12v car adapters, and most of 'em take composite video or even VGA with some gentle modifications.

Here's a crap auto unit from Wal-Mart: Linkie.
$150 for pretty much the same thing.

thanks guys for the reply... the thing is I have a friend in Orlando who buys electronics from the far east, he used to buy the DVD portable (5" Mintek) for $50 the unit and sell it for like $120-130. their quality was exquisite, brought one over here. we plugged it into my SVX, it was a great device, shock absorber, even if it fells down the CD was still going on, picture resolution was gr8... so I don't want fancy LCD screen like Pioneer or Alpine... because they are all made in Thailand or China.... I don't care about the brand name as much as the quality. and i guess they are all the same... just a screen good enough to plug to the DVD I will get.
