Mozilla Firefox

Anyone out there use Mozilla Firefox?

I just started today, and I am not sure what I think. Been using IE for a very long time and am pretty used to it. Mostly, this is the same. There are some differences though. From a web developer perspective, Firefox and IE don't support all the same things.

Anyway, any first impressions from anyone else?

We're required to use it at work for everything except our intranet pages. Apparently (I don't keep up on this stuff now that it's not my job) IE has some security holes that make Firefox a much more attractive choice for us.

I have very few problems with Firefox and see it as a perfectly acceptable replacement for IE.

I just got Netscape Suite 7.2 and from what I understand, it is Mozilla rebadged as Netscape (credits say Mozilla 5.0). Works for me.

I use Netscape 7.1 (not rebadged Firefox) and it doesn't load pages the same way IE does.

It does load them more accurately than IE (which modifies bad HTML coding instead of indicating a problem)

I've been using FireFox for several months and have had no issues with it (which is saying something for a piece of software).

I'm a Firefox user - nice touch is to not be the target of so much spyware

its nice to scan with Adaware, Spybot, and Spysweeper and have them come up with nothing!

my only complaint is that when replying to a post on this site, the "reply box" is very narrow, unlike the way it was with IE. anyone else have this problem?

Been using Firefox on Mac and PC for the last few weeks. Very please with it. The recent nightly builds seem to have a few bug fixes and run a little more smoothly (at least on the Mac). The "Find..." feature is kickass. I love being able to highlight everything on a page that fits the phrase I'm searching for. I used to hate tabbed web browsing, but I'm really getting addicted to it with Firefox.

Everyone likes it! I might have to try it for two or three days and formulate a new opinion.

the Google toolbar in IE did that. the lack of spyware is my biggest selling point.....tabbed browsing is cool, too.
