Could someone give me some part numbers please?

Hello everyone.

Well its time. We are going to order everything I need to reseal the engine, and I have all of the part numbers for the valve covers. However I need the numbers for the front and rear main seals as well. I know the rear is bad, but while Im doing this, were also going to do the front. So I need those numbers to order everything. (are there how to's for both of those, like the valve cover replacement one? That is going to save my life!)

Also, what else do you think I should replace while Im doing all of this? We will more than likely do the belts, as my AC squeals like crazy, along with power steering. Its really only on cold starts, but still its annoying. I would like to do the timing belt too, but from my understanding, its pretty expensive. (Keep in mind I am also having a rear wheel bearing replaced  ) Im also going to put in new plugs (the good ones), NKG I believe is the brand?? Where can I get these? And about how much are those? I will also replace the air filter and fuel filter (where is the fuel filter?)

For now, that is all I can think of. If anyone has any other opinions on what I should replace, please chip in. I am trying to get everything fixed so I can have some peace of mind for a while....

This is the link to the parts lists. They are in the How-To Docs and should help you on the project. Good luck. :)

Thank you!

I just ordered all the seals, along with spark plugs, and a new intake from Dale! So what else should I do while im working on stuff? Like I said, I will be doing the fuel filter, but I dont know where it is, lol. I assume its somewhere up in the body under one of the doors? Thats where it was on my focus at least.

Thanks everyone, I will let you know how it all works out! -Dennis

open the hood... and look around back on the right side till you find it.
Be a little careful with taking the hoses off... there is fuel pressure in it all the time.

The fuel filter is that shiny piece with many small hoses, nestled between the curved portion of the coolant reservoir and in front of the strut tower. To the right of the brake fluid reservoir.

My filter is located on the strut tower next to the master cylinder

Could someone please tell me if this is a good kit? I dont know when the timing belt was last replaced, but one of the back covers is broken, and I got the new one to replace it, but the belt has to come off. Is this kit worth it? Are these good people? Also, how difficult of a job is this? Thanks

What about this one? Its on sale, and I would like to save as much as possible... is it the same kit?

I would not worry about either one. They both have good feedback and lots of sales. I have heard from many that this is a good kit. I haven't gotten one yet, but one of these days I should to have in case I need one. :)

Did you get the yellow P/S & master cylinder caps off an Imprezza? I traded for the oil filler cap from one.

Yeah, those prices are pretty old. At least a few years. I just copy and paste it from a text file when someone wants the part numbers.
Good to see that at least some parts are coming down in price over the years.
