ps pump
 

question is,
my PS pump is hissing a little bit (and much louder while reving), and i think is going out. I allready did the Oring replacement, and it didn't do much. Also the fluid that was in the tank when i did the Oring was really dirty. What im wondering is, is my ps pump dieing or should i just try to drain all the fluid and replace with new fluid (ps fluid or tranny fluid?). and how much should PS pumps cost? (used and/or new)

I would change the fluid and while you are at it, replace the O ring agian. The cost is so little, it would be well worth it. I found on mine that I had done something wrong to mine and it needed to be replaced agian. Once I did, it was working fine again. Try that before you invest in a new pump. :)

Oh, and use transmission fluid, not power steering fluid. :)
