Antenna (mast?)
 

Someone really kind destroyed my antenna yesterday.... when I left a hotel parking garage downtown Helsinki it was still intact and when I got home it looked like this (attachment).

Must have happened in heavy city traffic, a strange car worth five grand must have been too much for some :confused:.

So, if anyone has a good mast or even the whole thing and is willing to ship to Finland I am interested.

You can buy just the metal extending mast portion of the antenna and install it to your existing motor assembly.

I did this once many years ago and it was fairly easy from what I recall.

If you are really careful, there is a small chance you could straighten that out and make it work again.

Someone posted a howto on removing the antenna about 10-15 years ago, some searching should find it.

I've kinda been looking at replacing the motorized mast with a solid whip style one, i rebuilt mine a while ago and it just doesnt have that great a reception.

I have spare one, used of of course. I don't especially want to sell it but I could use the money. It's the whole assembly the motor and mast. If you are interested let me know and I will plug it in and test it for you.

Was the antenna you ordered a complete unit or just the stainless replacement mast?

That's just the mast. The whole unit is like $300 and something.
