Asking Price?

I have a 1992 LS-L with all options and 122k miles. new front dif, new timing belts, new water pump, and replaced rear dif. The transmission, of course, has gone out in it so Im voting to sell it as a whole to someone with the means of which to replace it themselves and save me thousands in paying someone else to do it for me. So what would be a good asking price for an otherwise great running SVX wth everything else in working order?

Any help is greatly appreciated and as soon as I can afford to get another SVX as a weekend car I'll be sure to get another one.. and NOT a 92

As the trans is shot, I'd say $1,500 would be a fair offer. Remember, if someone got the trans replaced by a dealer with rebuilt unit, they could be looking at a $3,000+ bill.

If they can do the work themselves, then obviously they'll save thousands.

Exactly... get a newer trans for 800-1000 and slap it in there yourself and thats a big savings. But not for me... I just spent 2100 for a front diff replacement and a rear dif swap. I cant afford any more. hey Chike i thought about ya when I went past ur place on the way to JMU in harrisonburg :D

I haven't seen the car, but $1,000 to $1,500 is a good starting point. :)

id be fairly content with 1500. Doesnt even cover the cost of the repais Ive made but its a loss anyway.

That is the way you have to look at it. It is too bad, but true. :o

I say the first one with 1400 takes it. 1500 with the spare rear diff and extra taillight assembly. unless someone wants them.
