sorry subafreak....

14.59@95.00mph this weekend on the motor at Race wars at byron dragway. ran a 14.7 and a 15.1, didnt want to beat on her too bad though so just took 3 passes

no sweater victory then to break the standing NA SVX record but by doing so beating a 4.6litre mustange gt:D
slips to follow, if people are doubting.

phil

p.s. should have the nitrous fixed soon as well, the wot switch appears to be the culprit, as soon as that is straightened out look for a 13 second pass on the bottle.

Sweet action Phil. Can't wait for those time slips.

Holy cow Phil! That's an awesome all motor time. I'd never doubt you, but I'd be interested in seeing the slip to see what your 60' and 1/8 splits were.

Phil,

I was looking at you 14.99 timeslip in your locker, and it seems like the ECUTune Stage 1 chip cut 0.4 sec and added 3 mph to your 1/4 mile time! That's not a bad mod for $179...

How do you like the extra pull down low? Has it helped your 60' times?

Nice! I can see you were babying the the clutch as your 60' was only a 2.1, but your 1/8th mile time was awesome.

If longevity wasn't an issue, and you really ripped the launch, you could probably shave another 0.2 off of that time - but a 14.5 with a *working* trans is not bad either! ;)

Couple more questions - What have you done in terms of weight reduction? What were the temps like at the track? How did you launch the car?

oh, BTW, the differnce between me and subafreaks timeslip as i can read it out. i have 4.11's (my higher mph) and also he didnt have his stage 1 in for this run(bit more power downlow)

it was in the mid to low 60's, dipped down into the 50's later on that night. I definetely take the "i like to have gears" approach when i go to the track. I slip it in about 4 till traction then gun it. Also i recieved my best time revving out 7000rpm.

I had everything out of the trunk, trim even the wiper motors etc. The rear seats however were in place. it will be a while before i return thuogh, enough abuse on the car this summer!

But Jesse also has a custom exhaust which you don't have. Either way, you still trapped at over 2mph higher, which shows your car is making more hp.

You know after you install that Stebro, it'll be sweet to see what kinda numbers your car would put down on the dyno...

I plan on dyno'ing my car over the winter to get a good baseline before some serious modding in the coming years. I'll also be at the track next month to get my baseline numbers in after my 4.11 swap.

Phil,

Assuming your gross vehicle weight is 3550lbs (3400lbs for the car - as you have a 5spd like Mychailo - and a driver's weight of 150lbs), your car is making ~226hp at the wheels based on your 1/4 mile time, and 237.5 based on your trap speed (which tends to be the more accurate measurement).

Horsepower Calculator

Not too shabby for your mods!

-Chike

P.S. The 5spd really cuts down on driveline losses when compared to the 4EAT, but even assuming a 20% loss (4EAT loses ~30% to the wheels), it means you're making ~280-300hp at the flywheel! ;)

I'm hitting the track in late September and again in October for the same reason - cooler air! :)
