Prescription Auto glass?

There are new facts I learn everyday about our wonderful car's engineering. Here is the lastest:

It's amazing what they did when this car was designed. My only problem is I don't need glasses!

I could do with the prescription glass, but why bifocal?

Would the bottom bit be for reading the bonnet badge?

(Oops, sorry, hood.)

I'm fairly certain this wouldn't work for uneven eye prescriptions or astigmatism.

Darn, the eye doctor told me I would need bifocals next time around. I was thinking about this one, but I do have astigmatism. So guess I'll have to wait until the next gen ;)

And to think I went out and spent all that money on laser surgery for my eyes and I could have put it towards this SVX instead

LOL...I suppose it does look like bifocals when you look at the side windows but to hear it described that way is just plain weird. It certainly wouldn't make me want to call for details if I didn't know what an SVX looked like.

This reminds me of the old Benson and Hedges cigarette tv commercial where the guy was having a special windshield fitted to his VW bug. It had a small pocket of glass protruding forward so the guy could get up next to the windshiled and shake his fist without cramming his cigarette into the glass. :p
