Re: odd swap
Yeah would be a fun car.

Re: odd swap
That exhaust setup is one of the better ones I've seen for these swaps.

Re: odd swap
this was my initial plan when i bought the svx, pull out engine and swap it into a 2dr GC until it grew on me.

Re: odd swap
Since it don't run, it must be a @#% getting that Chevy suburban in and out of the drive way . looks like there is almost more room in the engine bay than when it was in a SVX. I hate when people do an engine removal replace or swap and leave everything filthy . when ever I did mine I use to clean and paint the engine bay and clean and paint the block and valve covers etc.

Re: odd swap
I was wondering what was going on with the PS pump reservoir, it doesn't look right at all.

I have heard that on these swaps the svx power steering res can hit the hood. On rs25.com these swaps are not "rare" though they are not everyday either.:D |
Re: odd swap

Re: odd swap
I believe it is only 70lbs heavier then my old 2.5l. If this were closer I would buy it to modify my car and start a supercharger build.

BUT the weight is much further forward then the 4 cylinder, and it does affect the handling, FrankenWedge handled much better with the original ER27 that it does with the EG33 in it......still handles OK after relocating the battery to the trunk, and losing all the AC parts (and weight associated with them) |
