Brent-
If your insurer hasn't already done so, here is another suggestion: You might also want to contact Carfax and CCC and give them all details on your car, including VIN, theft date, etc. You probably know Carfax and what they do; CCC is used by insurance companies to flag collision and theft total losses. Do a Google search for contact info. (Don't know Canadian regs, but here in US, if a car is stolen and not recovered after 30 days, it must be declared a total loss by the insurer. Then if it's recovered, the insurer may let the owner buy it back; otherwise it'll wind up in a salvage auction.) Good luck. |

You may want to consider posting any pics of the stolen SVX if you have any.. Might help catch the moron who took your SVX...
|
I would gladly post some photo's of the car, however, the insurance adjustor currently has them all. I hope to get them back soon enough and will post them then.
Basically it was a stock '92 Black SVX with OEM rims. Paint was original and in excellent condition, the RIMS were also in excellent condition. But the center caps were showing signs of there age (and the use of a power washer, does not do them any good!). I have contacted every Subaru Dealer in the Toronto area (which there are about 10). I also called all of the Auto Glass shops in the area as well as a handful of Collision shops too. Not sure what else I can do. If anyone has any other idea's, please let me know. And please keep an eye out on ebay for suspicious parts coming up for auction. Thanks, |
dunno, maybe you could post a want ad for svx parts and see if anyone contacts you. say you need some glass and an engine.
