question about DIY u-joint replacement.
 
i think my u-joint is bad, i can see grease leaking out and i'm getting the front end shakes. i couldn't see when i was under there but if i remember correctly there is a u-joint in the rear too, is it the same size(part #) as the one up front?

You will need a shop press in order top replace them

The part that you are trying to describe, does the shaft go to the wheels, or from front to back?

oh, sorry, it's the main drive shaft(front to back ). i would like to just have it rebuilt but time and money are factors. i do have a shop press do you think 20 ton should be sufice:D? i'm just not sure which parts should be replaced, i know the front is bad, but beyond that i can't find anythreads that have specific parts or #'s for other parts that i should fix while i got it out.
