Not on my side of the State, but good to know. Actually, the WA State Patrol have been using several different kinds of unmarked cars. The second to last ticket I got was from an unmarked white pickup truck. I've also seem them driving around in unmarked newer Impalas.

I LIKE THAT!!!!! It even has the same Panasonic MDTs we use. Inboard computer terminals in case you don't recognize the acronymn.

I wonder if they checked their state regs regarding police car colors, etc. Remember what happened in California several years ago?

Royal Tiger 05-27-2006 05:06 PM

California? Enough said. PA allows any color car, as long as both blue and red lights are used. NJ allows Police to use double red or blue and red. Most southern states favor all blue for Police.

California had a reg that req'd all patrol cars to be black and white - doors/body, etc. They had to reverse years of unmarked car arrests/citations.

I wonder if anyone that won a reversal went back to their insurance company for a refund.

The state of PA is retarded. But at least local's don't have Radar..thank God.

I've lived in NJ and PA, been stationed in TX and FL, and visited many others. Other then TX, I'll take PA in a heartbeat.

I miss the late 70's-to mid 80's PA troopers with the HUGE single red strobe in the middle of the roof. :D that thing was so big I'd be surprised if the damn car could go more than 85.

Royal Tiger 05-27-2006 11:32 PM

NYPD had those for awile. NYPD also used to have green and white patrol cars. Philly had red for a few years in the 60's.

Virginia has the best looking state police cars. Anyone know the color scheme, and bonus for what it means.

I saw a gold Escalade here with the lights. That kind of bothered me a little. That's like 3 normal cop cars.

Here in Vancouver the VPD have been using WRXs for 3 years as part of the break down on Street racing. I am friends with a Vancouver police officer and he says it has worked really well. It also helps that PIR raceway is right across the river and really promote drag nights.

Here is one that will really get you tho...I had a little Sentra trying to get me to street race him a couple months ago. When I wouldn't take the bait, he took off like an idiot.....and the SUBARU LEGACY WAGON :D right behind us, flipped on his lights and pulled the punk over!!!!! LOL. It was a navy blue wagon undercover.

I've also seen their Dodge Ram roaming I-5  They have a few other tricks up their sleeve ;)
