For information only

just wanted to give an update on the many problems i am having with my 95 svx. it leaked out a bunch of brown goo. (anti-freeze). then it totally died. the radiator had a huge hole and the steam melted the alternator/steering belt. the steam had been causing all kinds of problems with the belt, so it would seem. got it home (after $315) and a bunch of brown goo leaked out of it (power steering fluid). no steering at all. so now i am waiting to have a steering rack installed ($310 - remanufactured part - labor costs yet to be seen). now, all i have to do is replace the tranny, the steering pump, probably some gears or what not (i am certain they will all break soon) - and i would have rebuilt the whole damn car. way more money put in than the book value. oh. it's my son's car. but his college and work are too far to walk, but my work is not. so guess who's walking? and it's really cold.:(

Why don't you see if Tom can do the work for you -- he's in Philly.

I doubt that you need a new pump. It probably only needs a new O-Ring. Look in the How-To Docs to see how easy it is. :)
