rear sway bar project
Finally got a reputable suspension shop to make us Rear
Sway bars for our cars, bolt on. We would duplicate the bar in a larger diameter and supply the midsection bushings and brackets. Factory link would be used. Bars would be black powder coated. Retail would be in the $160 range. pls shipping They suggested: (22.22mm) would be a good, aggressive bar I agree with their size suggestion (other sizes would be considered) Once we get enough on board, say at least 10 we can get them made. Turn around time wouldnt be that bad, we may even drop ship, not sure yet. Anyone interested can post here, but I also suggest emailing me at (motorsport_svx@yahoo.com) thanks Dayle |
Re: rear sway bar project
I hope you mean front sway bars. We already have a good source for rears.

Re: rear sway bar project
didnt know there was a rear option out there..
who makes it ? what size ? bolt on with new mounts etc ? or is it borrowed from another car ? We can prob do fronts too if need be. |

An extremely good product, btw. Only problem is that it's not complimented by a front one. Fronts are trickier to put together since ours are two-piece with a weird bendy part that goes through the front crossmember. There have been several one-off front ones made, however. I, for one, would be 100% down for a front sway bar, and I think you should focus on that first, especially since Nevin has already got a batch of 10 in the works. |
Re: rear sway bar project
Oh, and I wouldn't want a front or rear bar that doesn't destroy the stock endlinks...

Re: rear sway bar project
oooo looks like a turf war about to form
unfortunately my wallet would have to agree with motorsports pricing over nevins... |

Also, this may be asking too much, but a set of adjustable bars would be nice. :) |
Re: rear sway bar project
What's wrong with a front sway bar that destroys end links?:lol:

Re: rear sway bar project
Ours will be direct bolt on
no mods to the end links quiet for daily driving use like what most of these cars are used for..with noticeable decrease in body roll. Powdercoated prob black .... and for less $ :p |
Re: rear sway bar project
As much as I hate to say it, most people dont run good
enough tires period to justify a larger sway bar on the front :) |
Re: rear sway bar project
$160 is much better and the diameter is nearly the same. Since the price is cheaper, you can count me in. just as long as shipping isn't $100 lol.
I'm shocked you haven't heard of Nevin's bar.. |
Re: rear sway bar project
im in too!!

Re: rear sway bar project
id take one count me in

I don't care if you do a rear bar or not, but for the love of all that is holy, please at least also do a front one. |
