Cruise control not working.

My 92's cruise control decided to stop working today.
It was working fine since I bought the car last year.
The light on the switch comes on but no cruise.
I'm guessing it's something simple.
Any input would be great.
Thanks.

Check the vacuum tube that goes to the actuator on the firewall. (It's the small black cylinder on the firewall that probably has an exposed nub and a vacuum tube hanging around nearby)

Re: Cruise control not working.

First thing to check is the vacuum line under the hood up by the firewall. Look for a round black cylinder with a hose attached. I"ll see if I can dig up a picture.

Argh! beat me by a minute Manarius!

I would put money on them being right. I had the exact same problem when I picked up my blue car.

I agree! If it just stops working like that it is usually the hose that has come loose. Good luck. :)

It is very easy to accidentally disconnect that hose while checking the ATF. It just quietly falls away unnoticed.

A small zip-tie is your friend.

Actually, the vacuum line was the first thing I checked.
It was still on, just loose. I think I'll just replace that line.
Time to check fuses.
Thanks.
