I seem to recall someone saying that, mathematically it works out to 165. |
so your saying there isnt a speed limiter? i need bragging rights on my top speed...lol
Not AFAIK, but if there is a limiter, it's set at 155mph.
do a search if I recall 94+ had limiter of like 130 something but 92 can do 155
is your speedo what will tell the ecu its reached 155 cuzz my speedo is 5mph off so would i really be able to do 160?

....do a search.....
Recent information suggests that there is NO speed governer on the svx, and the diffrence in top speed as noted in various track guides may be attributed to the tests being done on jdm and usdm cars (Diffrent final drive ratios) Seems most people who've tried are able to get to 145, though a few rumors say the top speed is higher, I wouldnt use those figures for "bragging rights" honestly, the svx isnt worth bragging about when it comes to speed...For what it is, its quick, but compared to a more focused sports car, it isnt exactly spectacular.:o |
well when a honda tops at 115-125 i think 145+ is bragging rights :D:cool:
oops.......
Any speed limiter would be run off the VSS. So technically yeah it could be off as far as your speedo. As far as bragging rights go, I'd stick with the math. It's tough to argue against. The drag corrected #'s should be in the 160mph range. That's just a SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess), but it ought to be in the ballpark.

lol hey dennis.... but anyways, well if i do top my svx out, is it not appropriate to tell you guys on the forums if i did and how fast i went?
Mine is 5mph off at 65 (reads 70), so idk what my top speed has ben for real, but have seen the needle showing 140. I have 4.44's so I was getting rather strung out in the revs. My car would have gone only a bit faster as it seemed to only slowly accelerate on that closed course with that professional driver behind the wheel.;)
