Lights not working

I removed both door panels and the bottom half of the dash (under the steering column) to replace the suede. I noticed that my small head lights and my rear lights don't work. Do the wires in these areas effect the lights? Or is this just a coincidence? If so, what should I look for? My head lights and brake lights work.

Did you check the fuses? :)

If the fuses are good, check to make sure that the parking light switch (the one in the cluster with the mirror heater) is connected properly. I seem to recall that if that switch is disconnected it affects the lights.

Yes, under dash wiring most certainly involves the lights.

On the basis of logic, as the trouble appears to have started after the work you have done, surely you must have upset something, most likely a plug/socket connection. Back track on your work.

However this could be a coincidental fault as you so rightly surmise.  But tread the likely trail first. :)

Thanks Dave, it was the parking light cluster.:p
