URGENT! Rear Prop Shaft

My '92 Pearl AWD has a failed center support bearing. I have the new part and have pulled the shaft out of the car. Unfortunately this car has the "dual oscillating joint" and not the second U-joint at the front of the rear shaft.

I can see that I will need to replace the oscillating joint ($$) as soon as I get the part, but I need to change the center support bearing this weekend!

Does anyone know how to separate the front and rear drive shafts so I can change the center bearing?

Thought I had the answer but it was for the three u-joint setup. I can't find instructions for disassembly nor a diagram of the dual oscillating joint disassembled.

It looks like it's sold as a complete assembly.

I think you are right

I looked again at the exploded view on parts list and also the prices. It appears that the whole prop shaft assembly is one piece and not components. Price for complete replacement is the same as the complete replacement for the 3 U-joint shaft.

I am pretty sure I can return the center bearing I bought, since I will buy the shaft from same person.

Thanks for input. I will reassemble the car and pray until next weekend, assuming I can get the new shaft by then.

Question might be, should I change to the 3 joint shaft instead? Do they interchange? Are they better? Anyone know or have opinions?

If you plan on going to a five speed go with the three joints...Since you need to lengthen the driveshaft 2 inches...

The CV style driveshaft is superior to the u-joint style shaft.
