Vinnie
Rosie's younger cousin, Gary, passed away about a year ago after being sick with diabetes and heart problems for a long time. Gary liked 'Detroit' iron. Besides his work Chevy truck he had a Camaro, a track Camaro (drag racer) and a 2000 Dodge Viper. His wife, Val drives a Forester. She sold me the Viper and yesterday I drove it home from Vineland, NJ, where they lived, which is about 1 1/2 hrs. away from me. Val wanted to sell it and I convinced Rosie that it should stay in the family. It is a very interesting and powerful car. It demands a lot of the driver's attention. It's great on the open road and terrible in traffic. It is black on black. I'm going to name it Vinnie for "Vinnie the Viper."

Re: Vinnie
It demands driver's attention is an understatement. I drove one and it was the most raw, powerful car I've driven. I let it rip from a stop and my wife was screaming and she's a thrill seeker. She looked down and said "We're only going 120?" I said "That's miles per hour, not km/hr!"

Probably paid almost twice as much as an SVX was new. Couple convertible? Leather seats are standard, but mohair is more desirable with the top down  Forget the photos... I want to see a YouTube video of the new svelte Larry getting into this beast. ...and back out again!! http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1572548758 http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/atta...1&d=1572549231 . |
Re: Vinnie
A former neighbor showed up in a black/black Viper a little while back. I always had a soft spot for them, what with the obvious influence of more than a few true Car Guys in their inception. An old school American muscle car that can zig. What more could you ask for.
I want a ride. |
Re: Vinnie
And now that there are nine cars in your stable, trying to share a two car garage, who gets in this winter?
The new kid? |
