SIGHTING! Oh boy! I had a sighting!
 

It was our illustrious prez, "Rollin' down Highway 41". (He was born a ramblin' man - after all.)

Guess what? He didn't see me - AGAIN!

Okay Randy. Around noon-thirty. Southbound on 41 just a couple of miles south of 64. I was headed north in Kermit. That's twice. (The first was the day you left for Lafayette.) Man, open your eyes when you drive! :D :D :D :eek:

And you were driving the SVX? :eek:

Wow, Randy! I thought us guys noticed everyone driving the wondercar when we were on the road. ;) :p

He was probably day dreaming about heading down the interstate in his Red Neck RV. When driving the SVX, it feels just about as good as the rig with the dogs on the hood. :D

PS Randy - it is a good thing that you don't have to change the O ring on that! :eek: :D :p

He may show up at the next meet with a 2nd story addition to the SVX made out of plywood and discarded pallets. Some black stove pipe for the exaust running up past the roof line. The sunroof will be removed and a ladder will run through it to the sleeping area. I can see the shingles flapping in the breeze as he chugs down the highway. :D

While THIS sighting has nothing to do with the previous ramblings, it may be one of the most unusual sighting occurances to date.
On the way to the Brakeshoe I meet, SVXcess & I drove our beasts together through Maryland, West Virginnny & regular Virginny. Shortly after we pulled out of a 7/11 coffee stop outside of Charlestown, WVA; a burgandy SVX pulled out of a side road in between us. I alerted John via the walkie-talkie that the SVX behind him wasn't me. He slowed down, & I flashed the lights & speeded up. But.... totally oblivious to the fact that we had rounded up a "stray", the guy? took a right on another road & left the opportunity of a lifetime to join in on a delightful SVX weekend. Sigh!
