Its Soon Time!!!

So I haven't posted a new topic in a long time, since my Dyno Flop. But I have new wind in my sails as I purchased the first part of my 6MT swap... an STi Pedal Box, lol. I'm going to visit my mom for 2 weeks and work with the family bussiness and earn the loan she's hooking me up with for the swap. More than likely, I'll have Tom (TomsSVX) come out and do the swap (and give him a westcoast vacation.) I'm really looking forward to getting rid of my 4EAT, starting to hicup a bit..., and put more power to the pavement and get serious about my NA upgrades. :D

the 4eat is a joke, mine has less than 10k on it and it is acting like it still the factory unit now, oh well, if I keep the car i just need to MT it then... have you talked to Tom? is he really going to come out there and set it up?!?!? that would be extremely nice of him... even if you paid for tickets and housing... it would be quiet kind of him! GL and glad to see your on track!

I've been back and forth with him about it for the last 2 months or so. I've been keeping the swap pretty low key but it's soon time to start getting everything together.

Just got back from visiting my mom. Busted my butt helping out my rents. I helped install a 27' above ground pool, helped the family bussiness, and did tons of installs on my Dad's F-350 Dually. For the HUGE amounts of help I brough over 2 weeks the 6MT should be here really soon. When I got back home today I had a box waiting for me...

I recommend you try to locate one of the Forestor STi trannies. I understand they accually have the best gear ratio.

Tom

Gettin them in a box tonight and sending them out first thing in the morning. Can not wait to get rid of the 4EAT.

If I'm not mistaken, the STi pedal box has a drive by wire throttle. I wasn't able to use the one I got. I had to use the stock accel pedal with the aluminum cover swapped over. It's really no big deal, but just a heads up.

I used the SVX gas pedal with regular WRX clutch/brake as well. It fits better.

Thats why I'm sending the whole set up to Tom. He's going to mod something on it and bring it out with the rest of the parts when we do the install.
