Spare connector - what is it for?.

1 Attachment(s)
OK - so took out the glove box on my RHD 95 OBD1 (to change over the cruise control module - CC has not worked for over 10 years).

Only to find a spare connector, it is 8-way / 3-pin - looks like it should connect to something that is missing on the metal bracket below it ?.

Any guesses as to what it might be for?.

That looks like the connector for the door lock timer module.

OK so it looks like the Timer for Door Lock (what ever that is ?).

The module I have is from USA and uses all 8 pins, the mating part on my car only has 3 wires?.

Will try and reverse engineer the PCB from module later on tomorrow.

Can someone in NZ or AUS please check under and to the left of the glove box to see a) how many wires comes from their connector and b) what the module p/n is.

TIA

Yes finally figured out what I actually have -

1x Center console, door lock/unlock switch
1x Under dash door lock timer

and I have found the circuit to wire them together ----- all I am still requiring is the switch mating connector.....anyone wanting to get around the U Pull yards and get me one with a short length of OEM wiring - these came only on 95+.
