not really SVX, but 9004 & 9006 headlights...
I need to be able to see out of my car (VW Vanagon ) so I'm looking for some kick ass bulbs, I think it takes 9004 and 9006. I have a relay kit to run them straight off either the battery or the alternator depending on how much kick I decide I want to have, but I want to know if any brand and model kick arse... I want the brightest I can have:D :D :p

Napa, Sorry to slide off subject for a moment, but were you aware that one of the most popular destinations for EG33 motors from wrecked SVXi is into the Vanagon??? My Subie guy has sold a number of motors to a fellow in the NW that does the swap.
On subject, why don't you look at some HID's? Glenn |
I'm actually working on the eg33/Vanagon project slowly, I have 2 partial cores that should build one engine and I'll probably get the chip to detune it a bit and run it on 87 petro, 240hp (assumed with vanagon exhaust) is suposed a wee bit too much for the stock traney. I also want to change the final drive ratio and install an LSD.
As far as the HIDs, I'm trying to keep it on a budget so I'm going for relays and bright (new) bulbs. |
Philips cool blues are pretty decent, and you can find them on ebay for next to nothing, but I'm sure lots of people will post that their $60 PIAA bulbs are worth every penny, so who knows.
