Whee! Today was a good day.
Decided to detail my interior today.
I took my driver's seat out for the first time evAr so I could vacuum the old french fries, quarters, and alkaline dust. My seat motor and everythign is looking pretty sweet aside from one component being corroded as all hell. I got down to fooling with my trunk/fuel cover release becaues the trunk has not worked in 2 years. I traced it back to the cable just not being connected in the rear. While I was in the trunk I fiddled with my rear washer resevoir because it has also not worked for a couple years. I traced the hose and everything around, turns out the guys that replaced my rear windsheild, Safelite, not only did a ****ty job of doing it but kinked the water line right about one inch from the very end near the glass. Now it sprays just fine. :D Ah, the little things. Only minor isue I have now is my rear right marker does not fit into it's socket. It'll sit in there but it won't "attach". I don't think my SVX has any major problems aside from a busted center diff/sol C, and some leaky engine seals. :/ -- I weighed my seats for the heck of it. Passenger seat is 49lbs. Driver's is 66. |
It doesn't take much sometimes to make you feel like you did hours of work on the car. It is so nice to have the little things fixed and workng again. :)
