How do you remove coil connector ends Driver's side
On the driver's side, I am having trouble figuring out how to remove the plastic electrical connectors green, white, blue, from the metal bracket. I have unplugged them and pulled the coils out from the block, but those damn plastic things are a nuisance. I had to keep the coolant hoses on because coolant kept flowing when I removed the one hose. Problem is the connectors are under the two coolant hoses.
PS I have removed the coil #6 without going through the fender, it was quite easy actually. |

The "diving board has to be pushed to the rear.;)
Or, the release lever/blade must be pushed toward the firewall. It all makes sence after you are done. |

Take a close look at your replacement coil connector.

Well just as I thought it didn't remove towards the firewall, but towards the coolant reservoir...I still had to hit them with a mallet and screwdriver to get them off. Coils are off and plugs are out..just waiting for my fedex shipment on new coils and plugs.
