...too damn fast. Anyone ever fix one of these?

There is a small gear that provides resistance to slow the door opening. Either yours has a missing or damaged gear or the fluid inside that provides the resistance has leaked out. I believe that part is the damper (#16) in the diagram here.

Great shot. I had this problem on our black one when it was new fixed by Sube. This new greenie we're buying(perhaps) has the same problem.

Looks like a bear to get to in the dash.
