Tranny Cooler Question

Ok... I know I haven't been active lately.. but theres a good reasion.
Been getting ready to #1 move to the other side of town and #2 getting another SVX! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Anyway... on to the question

This SVX is lucky enough to have a newly Installed (only like 4k miles on it) tranny, but it does NOT have a Cooler.

Now... I want my tranny to last... I meen realy last. (lets face it, the 4EAT hates the weight LOL)

Now, I live in Florida, High Humidity, and High Heat...

Pref. from people with experence and actual testing... what Brand/Size/Type Tranny cooler would you recomend? Also... is it possable to set up a Tranny Fluid Temp Sensor and guage? I'd like to keep an eye on this new baby im getting soon ;)

Hi, There is a boat load of information available in this site on this topic in this site. There is a good write up about it in how-to section. You can start with that. For further info, please use search, something like "transmission cooler". in terms of cooler its self, I saw people using those from B&M racing, PermaCool, or hayden. You can serach for those words to see what options people used.

I had the same questions when I installed mine. Unfortunately no one has taken the time to do benchmarks on with / without cooler scenarios. So, you're pretty much on your own. After installing B&M, stacked plate cooler, I think I'd opt for one with a fan instaead (stacked plate or tube).
