svxfiles came up with a solution to this problem a while ago... How about READING 8.5 on October 19-21, 2007 ;) . |
That is a little better. :o

I have unstuck all Reading 8 related threads, and thus stickied all the Reading 9 related threads... enjoy.

There seems to be a chance of an auto-X weekend the last weekend of oct........ www.nationalroadrally.com sign up and we'll see what arrangements can be made for Reading 8.5! To give Tom and Diana a break, we might have to use the Planet MRAF for a landing zone. ( 15 miles from the airport, 5,000 acres of state land hooked on.....) BUT, If Tom and Diana don't mind........... I will be signing up for Sunday. Don't know what car or class, but I'll be burning up some tires, fer shur! |
It is with a lot of regrets that I post this. Rosie and I will most likely not be at Reading IX. WE have a previous commitment that we can't get out of (short of hiring my cousin Vito from Brooklyn). It will be the first Reading SVX Meet that I have missed.

Of course, then some people would have to change their vacations, as well..... And we'd all have to make new reservations........ But for Larry and Rosie, it would be worth it! Right, John? :o |
Since Easter is in March, there is no conflict there. Here are the choices:
APRIL 4-6, 2008 Traditionally, the first weekend in April is when the first Reading was held. At the beginning of April, the weather is somewhat colder (I remember waking up to a parking lot full of pearlies at one Reading, due to an overnight snow squall). On the positive side, Daylight Saving Time will be in effect. APRIL 11-13, 2008 A little too close to tax time for most. This has been why it has not been considered in the past. APRIL 18-20, 2008 The current choice. Has been the third weekend for a few years and seemed to work well for most. Which leaves us with APRIL 25-27, 2008 The last weekend left--Reading HAS to be in April! Larry, does your "previous commitment" last over a 3 day period? . |
