Dragging noise?

My car has been making this noise since I had the AWD rebuilt. When it shifts from 1-2 there is this loud dragging noise coming from the rear of the car. I can also hear it ever so slightly if I turn a corner sharp.

I think it has something to do with having the AWD repaired, so I called to get it in to the dealership. I tried doing tight figure 8's and someone suggested. I do NOT feel the car hop like it is binding BUT the tires squeel. Its not like I was going 50mph either. I have also noticed that if I turn out of a parkiing spot tight, every once and a while, I can feel or hear one of the back tires break loose.

No blinking power light or anything.

It does sound like the AWD is binding. Try fitting the FWD fuse to see if it changes.

If it is binding, it certainly does not act like binding that I have experienced before. I drove a '95 Legacy that binded and certain times it felt as if the back end would hop or skip around corners/turns.

I also can't explain the noise on the 1-2 shift. It gets louder the higher the RPMs. I do not hear it on any other shift.

If the fuse does not change it. Have a look at the rear tranmission mount, it may be allowing the drive shaft to move and touch something when the load is on.

Harvey. ;)
