Trany Questions.

Ok, Ive looked but I can't really find the answers I'm looking for. Maybe someone can help with a couple.

1. I am swapping in an outback trans w/4.44's, and I am wondering, will the transmission resistor mod work on that one too?

2. My "broken" transmission ran and shifted fine, but had no output to the rear drive-shaft. The FWD light was on on the dash, but the FWD fuse is NOT in. Any Ideas? Am I replacing an easy fix trany?

I would be on the search for a switch... Some people place switches in for various reasons

pull the codes on your tranny.... im going to guess you will see code 24

if the light is on, the FWD circuit has been completed. So there may be a code for the sol. C but this surely will not fix the FWD light(circuit) issue at hand

1, Yes the mod.? will Work? but to what purpose. Have a browse of my locker.

2. The problem with your existing transmission would appear at the worst, to be confined to the transfer case, which is accessible without removing the transmission as a whole. Indications are such that you should do some thorough checking, before making a change. ;)
