Remove or paint-over ground effects/paneling??

I own an svx that was originally clarat but has been repainted black, and the there is some sort plastic ground effect/paneling at the bottom of the door in a gray color its, stock but I have never seen it on any other svx's why??

Your best best is to take a pic of them and let everyone in here decide if they stay or go chances are if their not OEM they look not so hot, listen to the purists rice comes and goes.
