Painting the Beast
The process has begun...
Right now the Beast sits in the driveway de-spoilered (with the holes filled in), with about 2 dozen patches where the paint has been sanded down to the metal. The front bumper took about a half hour to sand due to all the little rock chips, and I discovered a large dent in the rear bumper from when I had to drive over the curb to move in to school. Bondo work begins once I grab myself a cold soda. Pics to come later tonight. Words of encouragement/donations are welcome (donations are prefered ;)) |
I think you have enough of my money :p ...best of luck to you man!

Good luck Steve! It's nice to see people tackling their own paint. Did you end up getting any books?
Remember, don't rush it. Any little flaws you find now will look 10 times worse after paint! If you have any questions along the way, shoot me a PM and I'll try to help the best I can. :) |

to check the body work(Bondo) just give it a spray of black Krylon. It is a little trick of the trade. don't over do it, just dust it to see where there may be inperfections.
